A weekly culinary experiment
What's for dinner?
If you RSVP, Brian & Belén's Bodacious Dinner Adventure will announce the menu on the morning of dinner. Each week the menu will change to accommodate the freshest produce and finest ingredients.
Will dinner be delicious?
It is possible. Brian & Belén are interested in trying new recipes and refining their culinary skills. On occasion, dinner may be questionable or downright dangerous. If this happens, Brian & Belén's Bodacious Dinner Adventure would provide food curiously similar to delivered Chinese food or pizza.
Do you accommodate vegetarians & other eating disorders?
Brian & Belén's Bodacious Dinner Adventure will often include bacon, cheese, bacon dipped in cheese, cheese wrapped in bacon and all things delicious. Brian & Belén's Bodacious Dinner Adventure will announce if a vegetarian meal is planned, though we have no idea how to make dinner without meat.
What can I bring?
Bring $10 for dinner and beverage donations are always welcome. Mismatched socks are not.
What if I don't have $10?
We have a lot of dishes at the end of dinner...
Isn't $10 too much?
Have you ever gotten a 3 - 6 course dinner for less than $10? Every week the menu will change and all monies will go towards the dinner. If there is ever a surplus of cash it will go to the next dinner, which will make the next dinner more delicious, so feel free to give more if you want to see fancier items.
Where is dinner?
At the Bee Hive. Wanna know why we call it that? Come on over and we'll show you.
When is dinner?
Brian & Belén's Bodacious Dinner Adventure expects dinner will be served at about 7:30, give or take owing to minor/major kitchen eruptions.
What if I need to cancel my reservation?
Real life happens, Brian & Belén's Bodacious Dinner Adventure understands that. Please give as much notice as possible and Brian & Belén's Bodacious Dinner Adventure will continue to invite you. Regularly fail to show up and Brian & Belén's Bodacious Dinner Adventure will cook you for dinner and call you, "Roasted Coward."
What if I forgot to RSVP?
Brian & Belén's Bodacious Dinner Adventure greatly appreciates an RSVP, but a late phone call will usually work if there is still space.
Can I come early?
Brian & Belén's Bodacious Dinner Adventure expects to be in the kitchen no later than 6:00, and you are certainly welcome to come visit with us. If you are looking to help, Brian & Belén's Bodacious Dinner Adventure is currently looking for sous chefs (manual labor, and vegetable choppers).
What if I need to leave early?
You are welcome to leave whenever you like, especially if the food is more experimental than delicious, but there are no "to go" boxes, and you will be shunned as you leave.
Can I invite a friend? Significant other? Stranger? Pet?
Brian & Belén's Bodacious Dinner Adventure is of the philosophy, "The more the merrier…as long as you have a reservation."
What if I need a ride?
The Bee Hive is very close to San Jose Light Rail and CalTrain. Brian & Belén's Bodacious Dinner Adventure will do their best to get you picked up and dropped off, but make no promises. Further, if picking you up causes any damage or delay to dinner Brian & Belén's Bodacious Dinner Adventure will cook you for dinner and call you "Lame Duck."
What is this "board game" nonsense?
Brian & Belén's Bodacious Dinner Adventure hopes to turn this into a dinner/board game evening. Brian & Belén's Bodacious Dinner Adventure expect that board games will start around 9:00/9:30, but take no responsibility for lack of playing board games owing to excellent conversation, heated debate, food coma or other natural disaster.
What if I hate food but love board games?
You are always welcome to join Brian & Belén's Bodacious Dinner Adventure for board games. Please accommodate for dinner time.
Can I bring a board game?
Yes.
Will there be any special/theme evenings?
Brian & Belén's Bodacious Dinner Adventure will utilize any excuse to make dinner more interesting by celebrating arbitrary, obscure and imaginary holidays.
